Default Snoblind’s Chkkr Brightclaw solo

OK… I’ve lurked and leeched enough info that now I need to contribute.

Snoblind’s Chkkr Brightclaw solo

Profession:R/X

Attributes:
Marksmanship = max
Expertise = max
Wilderness Survival = rest

Skills:
Apply Poison
Melandru’s Shot {E}
Sundering Shot
Power Shot
Hunters Shot
Storm Chaser
Winnowing
Favorable Winds

Start in Jade Flats, run down the ramp using Storm Chaser to beat the Salke path to the end of the ramp.

Target Chkkr as soon as possible and drop both spirits at the top of the stairs, out of Chkkr’s aggro range (anywhere between the stairs and the last set of weeds/grass is a good spot).

Run to the small dip in the top of the stairs where the steps are slightly discolored and shaped differently than the rest; this will give a nice damage bonus when the fun starts. Apply Poison + Melandu’s Shot + Sundering Shot + Power Shot, wait for Chkkr to start moving and hit him with Hunters Shot. The next shot will be a normal shot because he’ll be moving around the point to come up the stairs; re-Apply Poison, (it’ll be blinking) and start the shot-chain again.

By now his health should be about half-bar and the patrol of Kirin, Undergrowth, and other plant thingy should be starting to attack him; KEEP UP THE PRESSURE! He’ll fall in about 5 seconds, turn and run back to the ramp.

You’ll have a few seconds while the Kirin raises a Horror, and if the Undergrowth gets too close, you can use Storm Chaser to get away while the spirits get attacked (keeping the aggro from you.)

Wait at the ramp for the patrol to go by and stay out of aggro range. Once they pass, run back to Chkkr and collect the drops. If the Horror is in the path, just run pas and he’ll die in a few seconds of chasing you. If Chkkr drops the Brightclaw, you have my condolences… it’s pretty much worthless; BUT I have had some nice golds drop, the best being a perfect +5 energy Gothic Sword!

In the pool that Chkkr stays in is a chest spawn area, so bring a key. Watch for the popups in the back and sides of the cove if you get too far in. Back gives 50/50 gold, right gives 75/25 purple, and left gives 75/25 gold.

If I'm there, I'll happily show the run IF you can follow directions

Very nice, but I'm afraid this belongs in the Farming section.

You wrote Melandrus Arrows in the skill listing, not Shot. What use is it anyway? I don't recall the boss having any enchantments and he needs at least 1 interrupt incase he gets Recup up.

Easier to just touch ranger farm him anyway, but been as 1. Nobody will buy this item and 2. Its overfarmed. Its not worth the effort.

I stand corrected on the skill, my apologies...

+30 damage is the reason I use it, the same as the others being heavy hitting shots or causing degen of some type. He does drop a spirit, but I'm not sure that he doesn't get out of its range as he's coming up the steps.

I never thought about touching him... what about all of his popup friends?

The farm is less for the Brightclaw than golds that he may drop, and the chest there. I got thinking about smug he looked there as I was doing the Faction run, and tried to see if I could get him.... a solo pure Ranger can. I think I get about 2-3k an hour to farm him with the other drops to merch; not that good, I know, but when you've only got one toon to farm with ya take what you can get!
